Gala Ford
A short 15 - 20 minute walk, ideal for a quick breath of fresh air. The Gala Ford was the crossing point for the cattle heading south on The Drove Road and once accross, the cattlemen would settle the herd and lie up over night before heading over the hills the following morning. Now a new bridge has been built to cross the Water of Leith.
